My role as Ambassador at Hacking Ashton LLP is with a brief to work on Business Development, Mentoring and Strategic Planning.

Following a career spanning more than 35 years I recently retired from Hanley based Architects Hulme Upright Manning where I was Managing Partner for 25 years steering the Practice through a period of high growth and National recognition.

During that Period I held several high profile Community and Regeneration Appointments including Chairman of Staffordshire Training and Enterprise Council, Chair of Stoke on Trent Community Partnership and Local Strategic Partnership, Board member of The North Staffs Regeneration Zone and the President of The North Staffs Chamber of Commerce.

I am married with three grown up children and was awarded the OBE in1999 for services to the community of Staffordshire and appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of the County in 2002.
