Carrie Murphy
Originally from Lisburn, Northern Ireland, I attended the University of Ulster and graduated with a degree in Law and Economics.
I subsequently moved to Galway and completed a Masters in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management at the National University of Ireland.
In October 2005, I came to England and joined mhl support Limited as a HR Advisor. During my employment with mhl, I also studied my LPC at Staffordshire University.
I joined Hacking Ashton LLP in September 2007 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in March 2009.
Since qualification, I have specialised in employment law which includes acting on behalf of both employers and employees in employment tribunal matters. I also provide day to day human resources advice to employers alongside preparing employment policies and procedures, employment contracts, consultancy agreements and compromise agreements.
I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the CIPD and enjoy hosting internal and external seminars on employment related issues.
Outside of work, I love to travel back home to Ireland to see my family and to ‘top up’ my accent!
