Bob Ashton

Bob Ashton
Born in the cathedral town of Newport, Monmouthshire, I left Wales to study at Hull University before moving to Newcastle-under-Lyme in 1978 when Hacking Ashton was established. I am one of the founding partners of the firm. I set up in practice here after working in industry for Ernest Scragg & Sons Limited.
I have lived in the village of Keele for 30 years and was a Governor of St John’s School there. I’m currently Vice Chair of Governors of Newcastle-under-Lyme College of Further Education.
Formerly a Director of North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I am a Director of a local manufacturing company which has brought in excess of 200 new jobs to the area.
For the past ten years I have sat as an Employment Tribunals Judge.
