Advice and expertise from a reliable source
Services
The planning system in the UK is complex and constantly changing therefore developers need sound advice and expertise from a reliable source. We house an experienced planning team with a wide range of knowledge in all areas of planning, both urban and rural.
We understand our client’s needs and aims and we value and appreciate community viewpoints. In addition to this we have a good relationship with local authorities enabling us to liaise effectively in order to secure permissions for new development.
The projects we deal with vary in size and type. For example, major projects have included securing planning permission for mill conversions, new industrial units and large scale housing schemes.
Towards the smaller end of the scale we deal with applications for individual houses, certificates of lawfulness and changes in use of existing buildings. Many of our projects involve listed buildings and conservation areas.
We also provide planning advice for the development potential of sites, advising on the most suitable development options subject to developer’s requirements.
We offer a varied range of services in both urban and rural situations including:
- Project co-ordination – liaising with and appointing architects and relevant consultants (transport consultants, ecological consultants, arboricultural consultants, acoustic consultants)
- Submitting and managing planning applications
- Manage all aspects of appeals, including hearings and inquiries (including the appointment of Counsel)
- Producing feasibility reports, for example, chances of obtaining planning permissions
- Securing listed building and conservation area consents
- Advising on development options for complex sites
- Producing planning/design and access statements
- Making representations to Local Development Frameworks
