Take a fresh look at your Health & Safety
Is your health and safety in order? These statistics should be food for thought for all business owners.
During 2008 and 2009, The Health & Safety Executive states that there were 27,594 major injuries to employees at work, they have subsequently prosecuted 1,245 offences, resulting in 860 convictions (78%). Local Authorities prosecuted 329 offences, resulting in 309 convictions (94%).
If you have concerns regarding your compliance with health and safety at work, Hacking Ashton LLP can provide practical and friendly advice. Hacking Ashton’s Senior Member Rob Bailey commented, “Companies have a minefield of Health and Safety boxes to tick. If something goes wrong, businesses need clear, strong advice on how to deal with enforcement action, such as notices that have been served, or in the event of a prosecution by the Health and Safety Executive or Local Authority, knowing where to go for good advice is essential. Prevention is always better than cure. Gill’s experience from both sides of the fence means Hacking Ashton is in an ideal position to help.”
